1971 Oldsmobile Cutlas Supreme

This 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible is the perfect candidate for a restoration and the kind we like. The car is virgin original that was parked and the last date on the license plate says 1978. It was garage kept by the original owner until he decided this the right time to have his new car again. Our customers sometimes come from other countries but this one is based state side and lives in Chicago, Illinois.
The Olds is so original when it showed up it helped us put back together a basket case Olds that we were finishing up on and needed to know about originality. This car has been heavy documented for answers in the future. The 98% rust free body was lifted from chassis and the motor was sent out to the machine shop to be rebuilt and the transmission received the same attention. The rear drive was checked and found to be in very good condition.

The frame was sandblasted and checked for integrity. It was then disassembled cleaned again and had the inner box frame coated and then receive the chassis black paint. The consumable suspension parts were replaced with urethane, four new shocks and new sway bar were added has well has four new extra lift heavy duty coils. The body work will be next.

The 1971 Olds Cutlass is near complete now and is turning out to be a beautiful cruiser. Over sized tires were found for the original 14 inch wheel look the sizes are 235/75/14. These help fill the big fender wells. The motor started right up and a few hard to find part were located. The original top is intact and will be used.

Once some problems with engine vacuum versus power brake issues were resolved and a carburetor problems taken care of the Oldsmobile Cutlass is will be going back to the Chicago area to be driven by original owner. This car is solid and drive like it was new.
